About Krista
I’m originally from Ellicott city, Maryland where my parents still live. I attended the University of Delaware and majored in Marketing. After college I moved to Washington DC to work in the Advertising field. David and I were first introduced by mutual friends when he worked on Capitol Hill. I thought he was very charming and agreed to go out to dinner with him the next night after we met. We’ve been together ever since! I enjoy running and playing with our two dogs.
About David
David is originally from Oklahoma until he moved to Wichita in 1980 with his family. After college he moved to DC to pursue his career in politics. He loved working in politics, but decided his heart was still in Kansas. We soon will be moving back to Wichita to get married and hopefully start a family.
How We Met
David and I have many mutual friends. This one night we all went to see a band play in Georgetown. I almost didn’t go, but decided to go at the last minute. I saw him as soon as I walked into the crowded bar. We was so cute! We started to talk and he asked if I wanted to dance. We laughed and just had a great time. Later that night he asked if I’d like to go to dinner. I agreed without even blinking an eye. We walked along the potomac river and had dinner right on the waterfront. Our conversation never missed a beat and I continue to look at him like the first time we met.

How it Happened
One night when I got home from work, my room was filled with little candles flickering and beautiful roses waiting for me. He said that it was going to be our “date night.” I didn't think too much of it, so I sat on the blanket he had put in front of the tv and fireplace. He said we were going to watch a movie and that I should get it started for us. If you know David, you know that this is VERY odd. He is the “Movieman” and usually has the movie going before I can sit down. After a few minutes of questioning, I gave in and prepared to open the DVD case. He sat next to me as I opened it. I looked inside and wondered where the movie was, it wasn't in the case. Then, I saw the sparkle of the beautiful ring! He grabbed it out for me and stared into my eyes as he proposed to me. I almost fainted! : )
