About Crystal
I’m a local Wichita girl. However, I have spent most of my life in Belle Plaine, Kansas. I attended Neosho County Community College and now am attending Friends University. I am now a second year senior. I was originally planning on major in Physical Education but due to all the budget costs I am changing my major. Chris and I first met one night at a local baseball party. I thought he was very gorgeous and couldn't take my eyes off him. We began talking and haven't been apart since. We don't have children but we do have our two dogs and our cat.
About Chris
Chris is originally from Oklahoma until he moved to Wichita in 2002 to play baseball at Friends University.Chris is also a second year senior who is planning on majoring in Health Management.Chris says that we were meant for each other and says no matter what we would have found each other.
How We Met
Chris and I met about a year and a half ago at one of the baseball parties.Like most of the parties we both just kind of stood around talking to other people but never taking our eyes off of each other. Finally, Chris came over and we started talking. After a little while we started talking to different people but kept coming back to each other. By the end of the night, my ride had deserted me and I needed a ride. Chris immediately jumped in and said that he would give me a ride. Instead of going straight home we decided we would go to his house and watch a movie. About half and hour into the movie, some of his roommates called and needed a ride home. After dropping his roommates off, Chris took me home. We set up all night talking. It was love at first sight.

How it Happened
This year was our senior year of softball and baseball. The baseball team has a ceremony in between the last home games of the year. During this ceremony the coaches hand out awards and give speeches. Also, the seniors get a chance to say a little something. Chris' mom and I escorted him on to the field for the ceremony. Chris was the last to give his little speech. First of all, I have to say a little something about who all was there. On his side it was Chris's mom and dad, grandma and grandpa, and both of his sisters and their significant others. On my side it was my mom and dad, my brother and his family, and my best friend. Also, my coach had told my fellow teammates to be there. Also, it was just at the friends baseball field it was at Lawerence Dumont. Anyways, Chris was the last to give his speech. He started off talking about how year was and how he would miss everyone. Then, he went on to thanking his family. Next, he said he wanted to thank the most important person in his life and then gave me a big hug and a kiss. Then there was a slight pause. He then said that he "was saving this for a special occasion" and dropped down to one knee holding out a jewelry box with a beautiful diamond ring in it. I don't remember exactly what he said because I was so shocked and excited. Itwas somewhere along the lines that he didn't know where he would be without me and and that I was the love of his life and he wanted to know if I would be his wife. The whole crowd was screaming and cheering. I know I will never forget that day in my life.
